"Tennis Heaven" could very well be playing on red clay on a perfect tennis day...
The historic WORCESTER TENNIS CLUB was founded in 1907. The club is one of the oldest standing tennis clubs in the world, according to tennis historian, Bud Collins. We are a private, non-profit outdoor tennis facility featuring seven superbly maintained red clay courts, a clubhouse with air-conditioned locker rooms, a full service tennis pro shop, an outside viewing porch and the 1907 room for functions and club social events.
The club is located just a few minutes from downtown Worcester and the courts are open for play from April 15th through October 15th (weather permitting). Club hours are from 8:30 until sunset Monday through Friday and 9:00 to 5:00 on weekends.
We are currently accepting membership applications for the 2012 season. Please see our MEMBERSHIP page for current rates, applications and information on GUEST FEES AND POLICIES. Note that there are NO ADDITIONAL COURT FEES for regular play, once membership is accepted. Click HERE for our latest newsletter.
A full menu of tennis tournaments, programs, lessons and social events are offered for all ages and abilities. Our Club Manager is USPTA Professional Robert Greene, former Chairman of USA Olympic Tennis, 2009 USPTA "National Pro of the Year" and former nationally ranked doubles player. Professional Staff includes nationally ranked USPTA Pro Brian Lomax and USPTA Pro Kendyl Alghrim.
We invite you to visit the club. The club is just off of Highland Street (aka Route 9) at 69 Sever St., adjacent to Becker College and within walking distance of Elm Park, WooBerry Frozen Yogurt several fine restaurants and WPI.
